Golenbock Eiseman Assor Bell & Peskoe LLP has announced that Sarah E. Kaehler has joined the firm as a partner in its Corporate, M&A, and Private Equity practice. Kaehler comes to Golenbock from Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP in New York.
“Sarah was instrumental in some of the major private equity matters of the last decade,” said Andrew Peskoe, Golenbock Chair. “Her work involved successful deals for name players such as Carlyle, Apollo, Brightwood Capital, and Northleaf Capital. We are thrilled to have such an experienced transactional lawyer join our already bustling middle-market corporate practice.”
“Golenbock’ s middle-market platform will make it possible for me to expand and build on my existing client relationships. I’m excited to contribute to the Firm’s continued growth by providing individualized client service that is difficult to receive in ‘Big Law,’” Kaehler said. “Golenbock has created a sustainable practice, unique among New York law firms, fostering and retaining top-tier legal talent and providing market-leading advice.”
Kaehler received her law degree cum laude at Howard University School of Law, and graduated from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minn. with a B.A. in Economics.
“Sarah’s rich variety of work boosts our practice, as she has seen a wide variety of complex transactions, including secondary, co-investment, and ‘growth equity’ investments,” said Jeffrey Berger, Co-Managing Partner. “I know that experience will prove invaluable to our clients.”
Kaehler received the 2019 Pro Bono Publico Award from The Legal Aid Society in October 2019 and is the Secretary of the Corporation Law Committee of the New York City Bar.
