Jeffrey A. Miller is a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment Group as well as GEABP’s Head of Employment Litigation. He represents and advises clients in a wide variety of employment disputes while also providing day-to-day counseling on best practices, including with respect to hiring, firing, restrictive covenants, wage & hour compliance, accommodations, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and worker classification.

A seasoned litigator, Jeff recognizes where missteps might lead to protracted legal action, so he brings to his engagements a commitment to managing risk and finding practical, efficient solutions to meet his clients’ needs. He strives to not only address problems but also prevent them, by counseling clients to achieve and maintain compliance in an ever-changing legal and regulatory landscape.

Jeff’s experience includes trial and arbitration victories, where he has performed direct and cross examinations of subject matter experts and fact witnesses.  In addition, he regularly negotiates settlements in litigation and pre-litigation matters with a pragmatic approach to deliver favorable client outcomes.

  • Won multimillion-dollar jury award against a global credit card company on behalf of its licensee
  • Defended a restaurant against its former employee’s discrimination charge in the New York State Division of Human Rights, resulting in a No Probable Cause determination and dismissal
  • Drafted a financial service company’s multi-state employee handbook, covering 10+ jurisdictions including California, New York, Massachusetts, Illinois, and Washington DC
